Most Common Medical Supply Orders

You have probably noticed on your last emergency visit that the nurses unwrap brand new supplies just for you. They unwrap a sterile needle, they use a new morphine drip bag, and they put on brand new gloves. This may cause you to consider how many supplies a hospital goes through in one day, or how many supplies get used in hospitals across the country. Read on for more information about common things ordered from companies like Red Cell Medical Supply.

Intravenous Kits

It is almost automatic that you get an intravenous or IV drip when you enter the hospital. You’re also usually using one throughout the duration of a hospital stay. This type of kit has several components. First you’ll need a prep, scrub, and alcohol pad. This is to clean the site where the needle will be inserted. A PVP ampule will also be needed to protect against infection. You will also need gloves and a device to secure the needle in place. This also often includes tape to prevent movement. You may find that it is worth the money to purchase a whole kit, or you may want to buy the parts separately to assemble the kits yourself.

Dressing Change Kits

You may also need supplies for changing the dressing around a central line IV. It is important to have all the right equipment to minimize the risk of infection. Kits usually include a CSR wrap, a mask, gloves, alcohol and PVP swab sticks, and ointment. They also include sponge, gauze, non-adherent pads, tape, dressing, labels, and a tray that holds all of this. Some say that using a pre-made kit like this reduces the chances of infections being acquired.

Other Kits

Since there are so many different procedures, the different types of kits you can order from Red Cell Medical Supply are vast. You may consider a standard procedure kit, which may include gloves, cotton balls or swabs, gauze, and other tools. These kits could be used with procedures like incision and draining, or nose bleeds. You may choose to order the supplies you need separately on an as-needed basis, order in kits, or order in bulk.

The Enchanting $500 House Cabin

This house cabin located in the mountain of West Virginia was built by photographer Nick Olson and designer Lilah Horwitz. The house was entire made of disregarded windows that varies in sizes that gives an artistic and creative facade.

All of the materials were salvages from a nearby barn and it only cost them $500 to create the whole cabin and it took them several months to finish the cabin. "We were able to make it a reality because we are first artists and creators. We had to be resourceful to do it cheaply." But Olson and Horwitz don't live there year-round since their primary home is in Milwaukee but they visit the cabin when they need some time to escape and be in the heart of nature.

The Solar-Powered SuperTrees

Photo © Zaw Wai (flickr)

These photos are certainly not photoshopped since these are photos of the SuperTrees at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. They are part of the so called vertical gardens. These tree-like structures measure 82 to 160 feet tall and are part of the $1 billion cutting-edge of the horticultural project for Singapore.

"It's pretty innovative stuff. The structures mimic the ecological functions of real trees through their environmentally sustainable features. Some have photovoltaic cells on their canopies to harvest solar energy to light up at night, others are integrated with cooled conservatories and serve as air exhaust receptacles", as CNN reported.

Her idea of using chess as a medium for fortune telling started when she saw some people playing chess in a park.

“I invented a way of fortunetelling using a chessboard set up to show the position of the stars in Thai-style astrology, as well as cards and feng shui, in which each star indicates your horoscope. The method was completed in 2010, and the first person I used it on was my husband,” she explains.

She will ask the client to pick five chess pieces and place them on the board. ach piece has its own meaning – the pawn is Venus which represents everything feminine, altruistic and open, while the horse is the Earth and represents the deceiving and working man. The King which embodies Jupiter, portrays a person with a cold, calculated and very rational personality while the Queen – Saturn, is all about passion and impulse. Although Ajarn doesn’t know the true rules of the game, she observes how her customers move the pieces on the board to determine future events in their lives. Portraits of the Origins of Famous Superheroes And Villains

This series of portraits of the origin of famous superheroes and villains were created by the illustration team Ninjabot from Las Vegas.

"Each print has it's own personality, and at its very core, each print represents the story of one character. Although all the prints may not look the same, they still fit together as a series. They were all illustrated the way we thought fit the character, and story best. The most exciting part about this series is that as we created each one, we had no idea what it was going to look like. We tried to follow the story of each character as much as possible. With each illustration, we only tell you as much as you need to know to figure out who they are, and what their story is", says the Ninjabot.

"We think that the concept of these prints is truly unique from all the other prints out there because this collection of prints presents our favorite characters in a very personal and stylistic way. We show the struggles, and in some cases the sacrifices, some of these characters went through to become our beloved characters". - Ninjabot

"Better Than Out" Exhibit In New York

Banksy is a British street artist and well-known internationally His recent work is the "Better Than Out" exhibit that happens in the streets of New York. A delivery truck was used that carried 60 stuff animals like lambs, pigs, chicken, and cow and their heads in the wooden slats. The animals can also be heard squealing and banging their heads.

"This is a piece of sculpture art, and I know what you're thinking, 'Isn't it a bit subtle?' Here, the artist Banksy is making some sort of comment on the causal cruelty of the food industry. Or perhaps something vague and pretentious about the loss of childhood innocence. The truck contains over 60 cuddly soft toys on the road to a swift death. However, in order to bring them to life, four professional puppeteers are required, strapped into bucket seats, dressed entirely in black lycra, pulling on an array of levers with each limb and given only one toilet break a day - proving that the only sentient beings held in lower esteem than livestock are mime artists", says the Banksy's audio guide.

Simple Promotion Strategies with Silk Screen

Are you looking for inexpensive and simple ways to advertise for yourself or your business? People will do almost anything for a free T-shirt. Why not take advantage of that fact and promote yourself or your business? Getting your brand recognized is a lofty task that can take a lot of time and resources. Once people know your brand, your business becomes a lot more reputable and well respected. This will increase your potential for earnings big time. One simple way to get your brand recognized better is through organizing local events. Small 5k races, walks, or other fundraisers can be great ways to get to know the people in your community.Have some professionals make you a bunch of great looking T-shirts using silk screen technology. Then, you can give away a free T-shirt to anyone who participates in your event. Make sure to include your business name and logo on the shirt. Anyone who wears the shirt from that day forward is giving you free advertising.

Increase Brand Recognition with Mailers

Mailers can be another way to drum up customers and brand recognition. Running a few successful local events could leave you with enough leftover capital to pay for a good amount of mailers. Offer new customers a great deal and watch the new faces flood your business. The downside of advertising through the mail is that some people will not even look at your advertisement. They will just toss it in the recycling bin without a second glance. Luckily, even a glimpse of your logo is enough to plant it in the subconscious of an individual. This will increase your brand awareness at the very least.

Advertise from the Inside and Outside of Your Business

Silk screen T-shirts are a relatively inexpensive way to promote your business internally as well as externally. If you’ve been treating people right then you’ve created a group that really loves your business. Offer them a chance to support you further by buying a cool T-shirt, hat, or hooded sweatshirt on which your logo is printed. With the right strategies you can advertise, promote, and increase brand recognition for your business without spending much money.

Lone Men In A Breath-Taking Landscape

These portraits that features beautiful landscape with a man overlooking at the place are created by Roberto Bertero. The man looks like a silhouette towering the horizon.

"Post-production must [never be] invasive, in full respect to the supreme art of nature and to the enormous efforts made on the spot. Rather a valuable support to compensate the intrinsic limitations of our cameras", says Roberto Bertero.
