The Strange Architectural Creations of Friedensreich Hundertwasser

Friedensreich Hundertwasse (1928–2000) is known to be an Austrian painter, architect, and sculptor best known for his architecture characterized by colorful, ornamental, and biomorphic shapes. He first became known for his painting artworks but later on he became more renowned for his unique architectural styling.

Hundertwasser incorporated his decorative, labyrinthine spirals into his paintings, architecture and designs for postage stamps and flags. He was Inspired by the Vienna Secession movement, especially the work of Austrian painters Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt. He is also known for his own theory of "transautomatism", which was inspired by the Surrealist concept of automatism, and sought to loosen the rigid rules of conventional art to emphasize the viewer’s experience.

It was in the 1950's when Hundertwasser began designing architectural projects. These designs use irregular forms, and incorporate natural features of the landscape. The Hundertwasserhaus apartment block in Vienna is one famous example. This building has undulating floors, a roof covered with earth and grass, and large trees growing from inside the rooms, with limbs extending from windows. He took no payment for the design of Hundertwasserhaus, declaring that the investment was worth it to "prevent something ugly from going up in its place".

Family Dinner At Kenny Roger's Restaurant

I just had a fun dinner with my mom and my brother at Kenny Roger’s restaurant. It was a great feeling having a chat with my mom and my brother. It is ideal to sometimes have someone who can listen to your views in life or just share the happenings in your life. Since I do not see them everyday because of my work, I am just glad to still see them once in awhile.

Brian Tulls Beautiful & Cinematic Painting!

Brian Tulls is a native of Nashville, Tennessee who is known for being an artist who uses both oil acrylic paint to create photorealistic images. This kind of style is merely based of the style of the 1940’s and 50′s. “Born in 1975, the only option I have to remember the 1940’s and ‘50’s, is through my imagination,” said the artist. “I let my mind visit the people, their era, stories and photographs, then I translate my own narrative through painting. Headlights on a two-lane highway, sun rays through trees, trains on a rainy night. They come from small towns and large towns. I see paintings in folk songs from the ‘30’s, passersby on the streets, and in the gospel the preacher talked about on Sunday morning. Ideas for my paintings come from the past and present, from all things nostalgic.”

“My strategically cropped paintings in oil and acrylic are sometimes confrontational and often feature the female figure as protagonist, giving you a subtle glimpse into the characters’ lives. Usually leaving you wondering what or who is beyond the edges, you might find yourself squinting to see what’s being reflected in the gleaming chrome in some of my pieces. More hints about the setting might be found by studying a car in the painting, or a woman’s dress, shoes, or jewelry; the color of her lipstick. My compositions can range from graphic-oriented realism with images rich in unmixed color and bound by hard edges, to true photorealism using original, staged photographs as source material. Staging the photograph for the painting reference is essential, as I rarely change anything throughout the painting process. Everything must be period correct.”

On his take for photorealism, he said, “I’m pulled to photorealism because it allows the viewer to notice things they wouldn’t notice in real time, especially with my detailed, large-scale works. A painting freezes movement, reflections. Photorealism is a well-suited vehicle for capturing moments that occur with little notice, but are nonetheless revealing in their narrative. My painting process forces me as the artist to look beyond the subject matter; to just let a face be a series of objects, or an object simply a block of color. In the end, the story will be seen and told.”

The UFO House

There is this UFO house that has been built by 58-year-old Roberto Sanchez Rivera in Puerto Rico. He has been in building this house for 40 years. According to him, this house was built because of love but not literally because it is a sweet revenge against his ex-girlfriend whose mother told Rivera that he could never attain anything in life. He used to write love letters with UFO drawings to the girl when he was still courting her and told her that he would create his own UFO house. Because of this, he felt devastated and thought of contemplating suicide. But he was determined to make them feel sorry about what they did to him. This is why he studied industrial design and fine arts.

He decided to buy a lot that is near the highway so her ex-girlfriend wouldn't miss it once she passed by the highway. He bought the land in Puerto Rico for $95,000 in the year 2002 and built the UFO house in a few years which cost him $150,000. And would you believed that he got the revenge that he wanted to do with his ex-girlfriend? According to him, he received a call from the girl. She even had a tour in the UFO house while he was still working on it and ask him to get back together, but unfortunately Rivera is no longer interested with her. The UFO house has served its purpose.

The house is located near the Aegean Sea and many people and tourists are really mesmerized with the fence and many people really took time to look over the house but they are not drawn by the house itself but because of the beautiful and amazing aquarium fence.

He spend an approximately amount of 40,000 Turkish Lira ($21,000) for the completion of his aquarium fence and this includes hiring two private divers and gave them the task to connect the aquarium fence to the Aegean Sea connected by the 400-meter long buried pipeline. Hong Yi's Creative Food Art Work

Hong Yi is a popular Malasian artist and architect sells creative portraits using unconventional objects. On her recent art works, she used food to create art works. "My 'creativity with food' series has helped me push the limits of my creativity by forcing me to churn out new designs every day. It has taught me to not be too serious about what I do, but also to pay attention to detail and to work within the confines of a very small area. I've learned to slice, dice, stir, boil...who would have thought I'd need that for my art!"

Benefits of Engaging With Sports

Playing with different kinds of sports helps us to relax and improve our endurance, it also keep us to stay fit and healthy. Basketball is well known sports around the world. NBA is the most popular basketball league that consists of men from different cities of America and country. And volleyball is getting its own lane now even with girls because it’s not that complicated to play and not very risky to play. More universities built a volleyball league for women to indulge them to sports, and have the chance to see their potential in playing volleyball, besides this sport has no many rules compare to basketball, that’s why women are more interested in playing and watching volleyball.

There are some organizations that indulge the youth in some sports. They’re giving out prizes to the group who will win the game. In some ways these organization are keeping the youth from other harmful vices. More youth nowadays are more open to the advanced technology that even their hobbies are getting advance too. Before, youth are playing hide and seek after school or go biking with their friends. But its different now, youth are more experimental and curious, they want to try and experiment even the most fastidious games and vices. And it’s very alarming. Let’s start at home; parents should indulge their children in some sports before they will engage their selves into harmful vices. Besides sports helps us to stay fit and strong, and make this as your bonding time with your family.

Alessandro Diddi: An Amazing 3D Artist!

3D drawings are always what amazes me. It definitely requires a great talent before you can be able to create a 3D image. But this Alessandro Diddi is an amazing artist that can make a drawing look like it leap off the page. According to him, he wanted to create drawings that will look like there are dimensions but they are not really there.

"When you understand the mechanism of the anamorphic design, you realize that putting together drawing like this is really not so difficult", Alessandro Diddi said. "My goal is always to create something new and original, which people will want to look at and feel intrigued by. By simply trying to combine my two passions: the freehand drawing and three-dimensional representation, I was able to come up with these different designs."

Liu Lingchao is a 38 year-old Chinese who came from Rong’an, Guangdong Province. He left his province to find work in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. In 2008, after being away from home after 20 years, he decided to go home through the means of walking with his mobile home. The Fault In Our Stars By John Green

No matter how painful the ending of this book, The Fault In Our Stars By John Green, for me, it is still worth reading. Because of this book, I was able to understand, if not totally, the situation of those cancer patients. It really made me cried river of tears and could you imagine me reading this book in the wee hours and crying like an idiot? But I really can't help myself especially in the scene where Isaac and Hazel had a eulogy for Augustus for his prefuneral.

If you are looking for a Young Adult book which is a happy ending fairy tale, then this book is not for you. But if you wanted to have a great read for a weekend, this is an ideal book for you to understand the world more on a deeper level. Because this is one of the books that made me realized a lot of things. But it really broke my heart when I was left hanging when I finished the book.
