The UFO House

There is this UFO house that has been built by 58-year-old Roberto Sanchez Rivera in Puerto Rico. He has been in building this house for 40 years. According to him, this house was built because of love but not literally because it is a sweet revenge against his ex-girlfriend whose mother told Rivera that he could never attain anything in life. He used to write love letters with UFO drawings to the girl when he was still courting her and told her that he would create his own UFO house. Because of this, he felt devastated and thought of contemplating suicide. But he was determined to make them feel sorry about what they did to him. This is why he studied industrial design and fine arts.

He decided to buy a lot that is near the highway so her ex-girlfriend wouldn't miss it once she passed by the highway. He bought the land in Puerto Rico for $95,000 in the year 2002 and built the UFO house in a few years which cost him $150,000. And would you believed that he got the revenge that he wanted to do with his ex-girlfriend? According to him, he received a call from the girl. She even had a tour in the UFO house while he was still working on it and ask him to get back together, but unfortunately Rivera is no longer interested with her. The UFO house has served its purpose.

Mehmet Ali Gökçeoğlu is a Turkish successful businessman and a topographical engineer who is known for his work of the most beautiful fence in the world in his home in Çeşme, Izmir. It was eight years ago when he decided to replace the metal fence in his home and decided to replace them with a 165 ft. of aquarium fence where hundreds of fishes, sea bream, sea bass, mullets, eels and octopuses live there.

The house is located near the Aegean Sea and many people and tourists are really mesmerized with the fence and many people really took time to look over the house but they are not drawn by the house itself but because of the beautiful and amazing aquarium fence.

He spend an approximately amount of 40,000 Turkish Lira ($21,000) for the completion of his aquarium fence and this includes hiring two private divers and gave them the task to connect the aquarium fence to the Aegean Sea connected by the 400-meter long buried pipeline. The purpose of connecting the aquarium with the sea is for the water to be changed continuously and make it look clean and of course to make the creatures in the aquarium happy.

Crown Your Home with a Beautiful Roof

Like the hair on your head crowns your face and finishes the beauty that encompasses you, your roof is the crowning glory of your home. You value the beauty and architecture found in your Northern California neighborhood and you want your newly renovated home to reflect that beauty found in the homes in your neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods. You want to find a Palo Alto roofing company who has the same vision of high-quality materials and installation services.

Asphalt Shingles

You can get high quality without spending an arm and a leg. Many homes have asphalt shingles; this roofing material is low in cost and gives a high return for durability. Many asphalt shingled roofs last at least a decade before shingles need to be repaired and much longer before a total re-do is needed. These two qualities make asphalt shingles the choice of many home owners. The only drawback to this type of roofing material is that it is lacking in architectural beauty and interest department.

Clay Tiles

This type of high-quality material is not lacking in the architectural beauty and interest department. It is part of many styles of architecture including the Spanish style homes often found in California. Clay tiles are durable and can last for many decades with correct installation. The only negating factor is the fact that this type of roofing can be a little pricier than asphalt shingles. You do make up for the price difference when you factor in the durability and long life.

Wood Shingles and Shakes

The final product to be discussed that is offered by most Palo Alto roofing companies is wood shingles and shakes. This beautiful style of roof is made with hewn wood shingles or shakes. The beauty of the wood is constant even as the color of the wood weathers and changes. This type of roofing has been around for centuries due to the ease of changing out broken or worn shingles or shakes. The wood lasts for many, many years and is a little more expensive than asphalt shingles, but not commonly more expensive than clay tiles, making it a popular choice for many homeowners.
