Behind the Frozen Minnehaha Falls

This is what looks like behind the Minnehaha Falls in Minnesota, Minneapolis when it is frozen. This can be found near the entrance to Minnehaha Park, a 193-acre park divided into two main portions: an upper section above the falls which is kept trimmed and maintained like many other city parks, and the lower section which is largely left in a natural state and popular for free climbing due to the steep terrain.
Due to the extremely cold temperatures during the winter months, the waterfall is known to freeze, creating a dramatic cascade of ice that can last well into Spring. The falls are located in Minnehaha Creek, a tributary of the Mississippi River, close to where the creek meets back with the Mississippi.

The Black & White Hotel In Singapore

The Club is a luxury hotel in Singapore that features only two colors, black and white. The hotel has a combination of traditional and modern design. It was designed by the Ministry of Design. The design director, Colin Seah, said "Searching to ground the hotel in the context of Singapore as well as the historically rich conservation area of Club Street and Ann Siang Hill, we drew its inspiration from 2 sources. The first is Singapore's colonial past, which we have made modern tongue-in-cheek references to through art installation like features such as an larger-than-life statue of Raffles with his head in the clouds as well as through some key furniture pieces and artifacts. The second inspiration was drawn from the area's popularity as a remittance center for turn of the century Chinese immigrants where hard earned money and wistful letters were sent back to the homeland. We have taken the memories of these exchanges and created features that hint of this legacy in the rooms of The Club, where the modern day nomad and the nomad of yesterday cross paths for a moment.”"

The hotel has 22 luxury rooms, a rooftop skybar and a tapas bar on the ground floor. It features undulating folds of fabric hanging from the ceiling and black illustrations of plants and trees.

Jumping Off The Cliff!

It is definitely an extreme experience to jump off the cliff. But I've never tried it. That was my brother jumping off the cliff. He has always been fond of extreme sports and activities like motocross, car racing, sky diving, and others. No wonder he was not afraid jumping off the cliff when he had a vacation in a beach in place lying in Central Luzon.

Baguio This Christmas?!

I hope I can be able to visit Baguio this Christmas. My brother had just mention a month ago that he wants to spend Christmas in Baguio with our family. If this is the case and if it will be possible with our hectic schedule, then we might spend a week there. But if it will have a conflict with my brother's schedule, I might end up visiting Baguio with my friends. I can't wait for this Christmas to come! :)

The Beautiful Sunset

Isn't this sunset was captured beautifully? A beautiful sunset at the sea is definitely one of the ideal things that is worth watching. Somehow, it gives you a great feeling of satisfaction that another productive day has gone and another day is about to come to correct our mistakes and make our life close to perfection.

This is how I think whenever I see a sunset. It is not an end but rather it is another beginning to start a new day. A day of new hope to fulfill our dreams.

A Travelogue

Philippines has its own hidden beauty. There is no need for you to visit other countries just to have a great vacation. There are many places that you can visit in here that you will surely love. Recently, I went to Laguna and was surprise to see the beautiful scenery that lies in that progressive province of Laguna. It is really a worthwhile trip that I will never forget. I will surely be going back to this place in the near future.

Let me share with you some of the experiences that I had encountered while I was there.

This picture was taken in Villa Escudero Plantation and Resort. It is the place where you will experience a country life. It was founded in 1980's. Our stay in here is definitely worthwhile.

This is the view in front of our cottage in Villa Escudero. Our cottage is nestled in this stream. It is a scenic view that makes my day upon waking up in the morning.

We even experienced riding a raft! That was really cool. This stream is 30 feet under water. Tough I do not know how to swim, I had no worries since I'm wearing a life vest.

A lunch area right beneath the man-made waterfalls. Another worthwhile experience that I had. We had our lunch there and the food was really great. I got my tummy full.

The other day, we transfered to another location, the Exotic Restaurant. We also had our lunch in here and they really serve appetizing and delectable recipes.
