Getting Pregnant

Being a parent is not that easy. From the first day you carry him in your womb until he will settle down and raise his own family, he will surely needed your presence. Most women were too excited at the thought that they are going to be a mother. When a woman is pregnant, there are a lot of do’s and don’ts. You have to be responsible enough to make sure that the baby on your womb is fine. You need to see your OB-gyne once every month or anytime she asks you to do so. A proper diet is not enough to sustain your baby’s need so you have to take some vitamins. There is a great need for you to take vitamins and healthy food for these will constitute to the development of the baby especially in the first trimester of his existence.

Moreover, after several months you will notice a lot improvement and changes in your body especially concerning your weight. A lot of sacrifices it is, but after nine months you will see the priceless fruit of your sacrifices and hardships. In addition, this is the start of bigger and bolder sacrifices as a mother. Newborn babies cry more often especially at night and usually they are awake when the sun falls and sleep more at daytime. It is so hard to wake up in the middle of the night to fix his milk or change his diaper. A baby wants to be carried because it gives him the warmth, pleasure, and security. When you carry them they will fall asleep and when you lay them down to bed they will surely cry their heart out. It is definitely very hard bringing up a child. You have to be more patient and understanding.

But it is the most fulfilling moment to carry your baby, feel his warmth, and hold him tightly close to you. And when he smiles at you, all the sleepless nights, tiredness, and wearies will all vanish with just one smile from him. It is the most rewarding feeling in the world.

Am I a Failure?

Am I a failure? This is  what I always ask myself. It seems that I haven't achieve anything better for my life. All of my dreams before were not achieve and there are circumstances that lead me to this kind of life. I dreamed of being a chemist, an accountant, an engineer, or a doctor but nothing has been realized.

I was wondering before why I end up being a management student. But this is what I realize, I seem to have chosen a decision where I would not take the risk. This course that I have chosen do not have any board exam not unlike those dreams of mine. I am afraid to take risk and afraid to experience failure.

And when I have watch the movie Take Me Home Tonight, I felt like I am somehow like the guy who is afraid to take the risk. But what stuck in my mind is the advice that has been said by the father of the guy. He said he was never a failure since he had never tried to take a risk and he is worse than a failure.

Maybe, the father is really right. It is more ideal to take risk and fail than not to take risk at all. I'll just have to make something better for this course that I have chosen. There is something better that is waiting for me.

Philippine Rugby Team - Pinoy Pride

I just watched Jessica Soho and one of the stories that they featured is our very own Philippine National Rugby Team. They are our representative in the Shanghai Rugby. And honestly, I am impressed with their performance when I found out that they had won over the Rugby Team of Korea who are the defending champion in the said competition.

But despite this success that our fellow men had achieved, there are still some people who are not that impress since they think most of the players of the said team and even with the Team Azkals of our Football team, have players who are majority have foreign blood. These people are somehow rooting for pure-blooded Filipinos.

Although I respect this view of other people with our Rugby and Football team, still I am not with them. I have my own opinion with regards to this kind of matter. On my personal view point, we Filipinos should face the fact that we are still not capable to producing our own team where in majority of the players have pure Filipino blood. We still need the help of our fellow men who have foreign blood and besides, they are more capable of competing in those competitions because they have already experience those games. It is an advantage on our part to have them since basically these sports that we engage now are foregin games that were recently introduce to us.

But I still do hope that in the future we can be able to have a team where in majority are pure Filipinos but this needs a lot of training and preparation for our future players. But we should also put in mind that Filipinos who have foreign blood also have the right to represent our country in these sports.

Does All Wishes Come True?

I always wonder since I was a kid, do our wishes come true whenever we throw a coin in a wishing well? I know, most of you have already tried tossing a coin in a wishing well hoping that your wish would come true.

I could no longer think of how many times I have wished on a wishing well. Since I had the knowledge of this wishing well, I have always made a wish in any wishing well in any places.

Some of my wishes had really come true and some haven't. But all of the things that I wished are long-term goals in which I know it takes a lot of time before I can be able to have the things that I want. 

I also believe that without our concrete plans and actions to make these wishes come true, it would certainly be hard for us to attain want we want in life. These wishing wells are only symbols and guidance that we should not get tired of dreaming and wishing for something and never give up in achieving these wishes of yours.
