Sometimes, people and businesses throw around acronyms just to sound cool. They do not actually know what the acronyms mean, but by using them, they sound intelligent. Because nobody else knows what those acronyms mean, and no one wants to look dumb, no one asks for clarification. It is like the emperor and his new clothes. The smartest of those who won’t ask about the acronym will go to the Internet and see of the acronym exists there. One question that every business on the web should ask is “What is SEO?”

Even if the word had nothing to do with the website, it would show up as one or two in the search and get hits, which would convert into sales enough that it was worth it, especially since people would get mad at the search engine for returning terrible results.

Now the algorithms are much more sophisticated. They include backlinks, hits, and all sorts of things that people can only guess at because the algorithms are secret. In fact, most search engines count it against a page if a term is used too often. So it isn’t just what is on a page, but what isn’t.

So what is SEO? SEO is the way that your company gets its website to the top of the search page without having to pay for it. People may click on the top one or two, but being on the second page of a search is rarely helpful. If people are not clicking on your website, you are losing sales opportunities. Virtual real estate is becoming more important than tangible land.

Beth Galton Photography: Food Cut In Half

Beth Galton is a food photographer who is based in New York. He graduated from Hiram College with a degree of studio art. He worked with this food cut in half photo series with food stylist food stylist Charlotte Omnès.

This photo series was inspired when they had an assignment and was asked to cut a burrito for a client. “Normally for a job, we photograph the surface of food, occasionally taking a bite or a piece out but rarely the cross section of a finished dish,” said Beth Galton. This lead for them to be curious and explore the interior of various food.

“Some items were straight forward and looked great being cut in half without any manipulation,” said Galton. “The donuts and ice cream were examples of this. Other items required food styling tricks such as using gelatin to solidify liquid in the soup cans and Kitchen Bouquet to color the bits of food in the noodle shot. Daniel Hurlburt, our digital tech/retoucher, was greatly involved and helped images that needed some adjusting and assembling all the elements we shot for the coffee pouring.”

The Replicas of Some Iconic Movie Cars

A native of Newnan, Georgia,Jerry Patrick is an automobile enthusiast who has the passion for building cars for the past three decades butfor the recent years, he became bored with his usual Camaros and Mustangs. This is why he challenge himself to build some unique cars and vehicles like those from the movies. To date, he has built the replicas of some iconic movie cars like the Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds, Herbie the Love Bug, KITT from Knight Rider, the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo and an awe-inspiring Batmobile complete with retractable machine-guns. 

These cars a functional replicas of movie cars but he needs 25 to 35 cars at hand to build a replica car because a replica car needs multiple parts from different vehicles.

Surreal Photos For Real?

Erik Johansson is a full-time photographer and retourcher from Sweden who is now based in Berlin, Germany. He is a very successful artist and known around the world for his personal and commission work. One of his commercial project was with Adobe who had done the live photoshopping at a modified bus stop. You can find the video in Youtube and it has more than 15 millions views.

“I don’t capture moments, I capture ideas. To me photography is just a way to collect material to realize the ideas in my mind. I get inspired by things around me in my daily life and all kinds of things I see. Although one photo can consist hundreds of layers I always want it to look like it could have been captured. Every new project is a new challenge and my goal is to realize them as realistic as possible", says Erik Johansson in TED talk in London.
