The Country Life

“There is nothing more special than to live ever in a simple yet peaceful life in the province”. 

Many people think that life in rural place is better than life in urban place; otherwise, many people believe that life in other community is better than the life in our mother country. Either of the two, we must bear in mind, that no one could definitely prove it, unless, he never tried to experience to live in both opposite places.

We can find buildings in the city, flashing colorful lights during nights, luxurious car, people of different races, crowded malls and markets, fly-over, skyway , and many more. There are also big time hotel and restaurant that people love to go, and the biggest houses and parks around. These things can only be brought if you have the money. How about true happiness? The happiness and satisfaction that last forever does not define treasure, golds and silvers in life. In the city or in the province? The foreign country or the country life? Where will you wish to go? Where will you stay?

I have never seen a wonderful place like the province, where highest mountain stand bravely, refreshing green fields sleep on the ground, amazing blueskies above the deep blue ocean and rivers, closely run to each other; the bay where children used to play and shelters quietly alive; different trees growing anywhere like guava, mango, banana, and tamarind, tiny stores and soft sands that gives protection to one’s bare foot, and most of all, people of innocent faces warmly welcome anyone coming. Every morning, birds atop the nipa houses are joyously chirping. Neighbors woke-up earlier to feed their own animals like goat, chicken, carabao, and pigs.

In the afternoon, families are gathered together in one place, to eat for lunch. Their food are put or place on a banana leaf. Instead of spoon and fork, they used their bare hands in eating. They have their vegetables, fruits and fishes for meal. At night, you can see the street almost empty, less people are standing-by, no sign of danger and harm, because almost everybody is asleep even when the night is young. Country life definitely exudes tranquility and calmness.

Parenthood

Being a parent is not that easy. From the first day you carry him in your womb until he will settle down and raise his own family, he will surely needed your presence. Most women were too excited at the thought that they are going to be a mother. When a woman is pregnant, there are a lot of do’s and don’ts. You have to be responsible enough to make sure that the baby on your womb is fine. You need to see your obstetrician once every month or anytime she asks you to do so. A proper diet is not enough to sustain your baby’s need so you have to take some vitamins. There is a great need for you to take vitamins and healthy food for these will constitute to the development of the baby especially in the first trimester of his existence.

Moreover, after several months you will notice a lot improvement and changes in your body especially concerning your weight. A lot of sacrifices it is, but after nine months you will see the priceless fruit of your sacrifices and hardships. In addition, this is the start of bigger and bolder sacrifices as a mother. Newborn babies cry more often especially at night and usually they are awake when the sun falls and sleep more at daytime. It is so hard to wake up in the in the middle of the night to fix his milk or change his diaper. A baby wants to be carried because it gives him the warmth, pleasure, and security. When you carry them they will fall asleep and when you lay them down to bed they will surely cry their heart out. It is definitely very hard bringing up a child. You have to be more patient and understanding.

But it is the most fulfilling moment to carry your baby, feel his warmth, and hold him tightly close to you. And when he smiles at you, all the sleepless nights, tiredness, and wearies will all vanish with just one smile from him. It is the most rewarding feeling in the world.

An artist and graphic designer, Yakushev Grigory made a parody series of some famous logos. The Saint Petersburg, Russia-based artist named the series as Angry Brands since he made the parody based of those angry birds in the famous computer game.

The Japanese Inspired Art of Tom Lewis

These are the cute and adorable Japanese-inspired artworks by Tom Lewis. He combine traditional tools like pencil, acrylic paint, aerosol and marker pens with modern digital software.

He has an on-going series called Megan and the Burobbu Boutique. This series features a lives of his fictional heroine Megan along with her mysterious pink blobs the burobbu as they traverse stormy waters. Megan is part adventurer, part schoolgirl. ”Tough but naïve, fearless but fragile, she ends up in situations where only dramatic and powerful decisions will enable her to survive.” Lewis describes the cute burobbu as “benign observers, malevolent masterminds, or heroic leaders,” who “have yet to reveal their intentions.”

Dealing with Life’s Uncertainties

I just receive a bad news from my cousin that our lady guard in school died because of an accident. She was hit by a car when she was about to go home. I was just sadden because she’s definitely a great person.

Although she was very strict when it comes to the policy of the school, still she manage to become a student’s companion and friend. She was definitely a great person. My friends and I want to visit her wake but we were informed that her body was brought to her parent’s home in the province so we can never have the chance to visit her before she will have her own peace.

Maybe, it is really her time to go. I just learn the fact that we should always spend our time on earth to the fullest because we may never know if when will death visit our life and will end our journey. But still we need to thank God because He gave us the opportunity to experience the life on earth.
