The "Up" Hot Air Baloon

The movie Up has always been one of my all-time favorite  movies. I just love the romance between Carl & Ellie. And I was glad when I found out that there have been hot air balloon that was design for the movie Up and as a part of the promotion.

It was in the year 2009 when the Disney Pixar UP hot air balloon was seen at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta. It was created and designed by the Exclusive Ballooning and it took them six months to finish the said hot air balloon. The balloon has a volume of 84,000 cubic feet 540 individually sewn balloons, each with 13 panels, attached to the digitally printed envelope.

The Movie Up became the first ever animated feature to open the Cannes film festival. And it has received five Academy Award nominations, which includes best Pictures, making it the second animated film in history to receive such a nomination since the Beauty and the Beastin of 1991.
